Fill every empty space of the mind with agony so that lies have no refuge. Whatever remains is the truth.

–Sodantis, Grand Inquisitor

Inquisitor is a ridiculously expensive win condition for Vespitole. Its ability to turn any food or magic into two attacks (one aimed, and one not) can end games in a heartbeat. Having ten food when it hits play is game against an empty board and a standard health count; Vintner's ability to translate food into gold lets you stretch this even further. In exchange, Inquisitor has a hideous cost that ties for the highest in the game with Holy Wrath and Wagon Bomb. Compared to Wrath, it doesn't rely as much on banked resources and offers strong and reliable board control rather than erratic bursts of it, but it can easily be discarded compared to Wrath, which exists only in hand. It's also worth noting that, like Supplicant, Inquisitor can infinitely tank retaliation attacks, and in fact is better at it, since each feed naturally procs an attack as well. This makes it surprisingly good at drawing fire.

Inquisitor's cost is the first hurdle, and it wants a gold engine as a result; bring Usury, Loan, Banker, Patron, or Tithe, or expect to spend multiple turns saving up without spending, and possibly watching the bank rotate it out. A supply or food or magic to feed it is also ideal, and thus Listrata gets the most mileage out of Inquisitor, particularly with Vintner. He gets a special mention, as his ability to turn two gold into a food, combined with Inquisitor's attack + skull effect, means that you can turn each gold into a single damage, which benefits from the gold engine you need to buy Inquisitor in the first place. Lastly, the piles of skulls Inquisitor produces can drive a Corruption engine, and works well as a wincon for such decks should they struggle.
