Warship is the biggest club in the Vespitole arsenal: it's a giant stack of stats that occasionally wades out of your deck to pose a slow and heavy threat before being dispatched again. Its exorbitant cost set against its slow output means that it needs protection to start to affect the game, and while it does consistently win the game once it goes active and starts bombing the opponent, it faces the problem that if you can spend fourteen gold and still have enough resources on the board to keep it alive a turn, you probably should have already won anyways.

Warship desperately needs gold acceleration and not a small amount either, serving as a win condition for high-powered economy ramp decks. Loan and Usury help but won't buy it on its own (even fully upgraded Loan or Usury is a 5/3 gold return on first buy), and it needs protection to stay alive, as that five health looks big until you understand that it doesn't have a feed action, when it would be better served dying and recycling into the deck.

This card suffers from multiple crippling deficiencies: it's horribly expensive but also needs a turn to start working even after you buy it; it has five health but no reward for feeding it for heals and it offers mountains of attacks for opponents you've likely already subdued if Warship is still alive to throw them out. Both Knight and Inquisitor offer better alternatives, the former being the last word in defense and the latter an on-demand feed engine that decimates the game board.
